Haiku #1

I was introduced to Haiku by my teacher who said there exists a poetry form with some constraints in syllables. He asked all of us to find out and confirm about the syllables. In the quest to improve my General Knowledge I found out it’s a Japanese poem in English written in the form of a haiku. It is seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

This made me write my first Haiku:

The barren tree trunk,
Past actions have set their mark.
Tomorrow awaits.
