Monday Musing with J.K. Rowling Vol 2

She succeeded the eight time,
And was declared an Inspiration,
But until the unsuccessful seventh,
She was just a forgotten name.
With an undying spirit,
Never to give up!

This is a tribute to J.K. Rowling’s on 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
During the earlier stages of life, she had to go through a lot of struggles in her personal life.Despite numerous setbacks, she found solace in doing what she loved – writing. In fact, she found that the little she had was enough to be moderately happy. After sending her manuscript of the first book to 12 different publishers and getting rejected by every single one, Rowling began losing confidence in her book. Finally, the editor at Bloomsbury Publishing company sat down to read the manuscript. And so did the editor’s 8-year-old daughter. The little girl loved the opening chapters and begged to read the whole thing. This made the publisher agree to publish Rowling’s novel. But Rowling was left with a warning: that she should get a day job because she wouldn’t make any money writing children’s books. Once Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published, though, she proved everyone wrong.

As Said by her “It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.” — J.K. Rowling.

So Do not let failures stop you from moving forward. If you believe in something, Go get it! Period.
